MISSION STATEMENT
The Bossy B Hockey Club is a female-operated AAA girls hockey program based in Andover, MN. Our mission is to provide a different summer tournament hockey experience, tailored to empower our strong girls on and off the ice. Our goal is for our players to exit the summer feeling confident about themselves - about their strength and leadership ability - all while building hockey skills and having fun with their team.
PROGRAM FEATURES
- Runs April, May and August 2024
- 3 Twin Cities-based weekend tournaments
- 15 on-ice practices
- 10 dryland training off-ice sessions
- Practices in Andover, Blaine and surrounding area
- Custom uniforms (jerseys, socks) included
- Custom team apparel pack included
TEAM PLACEMENT
We are not holding tryouts. We will assess placement based upon our coaches personal experience, referrals and video clips if needed.
However, our goal is to provide an opportunity to play for every girl who is interested in summer tournament hockey. We can expand to a second team if numbers dictate.
PROGRAM APPROACH

STRENGTH
Practice time will emphasize building the power and confidence of our players. On-ice practice will focus on power skating, balance and battle drills. Off-ice dryland will include total body exercises, with an emphasis on core stability and hip strength.

LEADERSHIP
We encourage our players to use their voices - be it on ice, at school or other sports. Each player will be provided leadership moments - to run a drill, captain a game or lead a locker room speech. Each player's voice matters.

TEAM BUILDING
To have tournament success in the short season it's key our players get to know and trust each other in an inclusive environment. We will provide ample opportunity for players (and families) to connect off ice.
